Scott Martinsen, DDS

Dr. Scott W. Martinsen is a native of LaPorte, Indiana. He spent much of his youth playing with the local drum corps. He attended Indiana University and Indiana University School of Dentistry, completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. He returned to LaPorte, where for over thirty years he has been providing dental care to the LaPorte community. Dr. Martinsen is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Northwest Indiana Dental Society and LaPorte County Dental Society. He enjoys traveling around the country to participate in continuing education programs. He is also a past president of the LaPorte Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, grilling, spending time with his wife, children and ever expanding family,and keeping Val in line.

Valerie R. Martinsen DDS Dr. Valerie R. Martinsen is a native of LaPorte, Indiana. She graduated as a Valedictorian from LaPorte High School where she was involved in numerous organizations and sports teams. She went on to Valparaiso University where she played soccer for the Crusaders and graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree. Dr. Martinsen attended Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. While at IUSD, she was an active member of Delta Sigma Delta, an international dental fraternity, and a contributing author to its publication, Desmos. In the fall of 2007, she opened her private practice in LaPorte and is excited to apply her previous twelve years of dental experience (as assistant, student and dentist) to serving her patients and building an extraordinary practice. Dr. Martinsen is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Northwest Indiana Dental Society and is currently serving as the President for the LaPorte County Dental Society. She has been a guest lecturer in the dental program at Indiana University Northwest. She participates in numerous continuing education programs each year and enjoys learning about new dental procedures, techniques, and products to make each patient’s dental experience more satisfying. Dr. Martinsen is also a member of LaPorte Service League, Friends of the Library and The LaPorte Savings Bank NOW (Networking Opportunities for Women). In her free time, she can be found running, biking, playing tennis, boating on Pine Lake, cooking, reading or walking her dog, Tom Petty.
